About ConclaveOpen Source is a revolutionary idea in today's world, in which software and applications are provided along with their source code and is free of cost. The former provides the advantage of modifying or rebuilding the source code so as to create or model the software in such a way that it suits the user's needs or is better than the previous versions of the software. 'Nobody's perfect', Open source follows this ideal and allows people other than the original programmers to think and improve upon the concepts on which the software think and improve upon the concepts on which the software was originally built. The latter helps in providing technology to all transcending social, economical and political barriers. In a nutshell , Open Source is an initiative that aims to provide free and modifiable technology to all, thus helping in spreading the technology and allowing the software to evolve to a better level using the ideas and changes provided by the people using it. Taking this initiative forward, this year's objective is to spread more and more knowledge about this radical concept among the major changers of the modern world- the Youth. ![]() Schedule of the conclave is available here
We wish a positive and delirious participation from your side, so that together we can make this year's event a “never before seen extravaganza”!! |
About USIT IEEEThe seeds of USIT IEEE student branch were sown in year 2002 under the mentorship of our then Dean, Prof Yogesh Singh (now VC, MSU) and our Branch Mentor Dr. Udayan Ghose, whose able guidance and motivation were instrumental in laying a strong foundation. Currently, USIT IEEE is in safe hands of our Branch Councellor Prof Navin Rajpal, Dean, USIT.
